New Moon Greetings,

This month, I’ve been thinking a lot about the places I dwell, both literally and metaphorically, from my physical home to my artistic home, internally and externally. These reflections have brought focus and organization. I gathered all my music in one place to share with you, honoured Litha/Summer Solstice with a home gratitude ritual, and remembered an artistic belonging moment in this month’s Wandering Tale through performance. Astrologically fittingly, it’s Cancer season, a sign deeply connected with home.

I would also like to thank everyone for attending the Rabbit Box show. It’s rare that I play an all-ages show in Seattle. And this was a special night, OC-EN was great, and the overall feel in this intimate grotto space was perfect for a cool summer evening. Joel Culpin from OC-EN and I are old friends whose past project, Suffering and The Hideous Thieves, used to play shows with my first band, Arkade. And this was a unique set for me, as I performed new songs and made it through despite a sore throat (I drank a whole jar of honey that week). I look forward to sharing more new songs on the upcoming fall tour.

Updates-

Music Page-

All my music releases are now available in one central place. You can explore them Here.

As an artist, I choose to release my music through labels and platforms that align with my values and prioritize the ethical treatment of artists. While my labels and I have actively worked to remove older releases from platforms that don’t fairly compensate or support artists (which we were not aware of at the time), some tracks may still be available due to limitations beyond our control.

For the most meaningful support, please use Bandcamp, Subvert, my website, or buy music at shows. This ensures artists like me receive fair compensation and recognition.

Thank you so much for your support.

Wandering Tale- Homecoming

Performing live used to terrify me, my hands would shake, my heart would race. Even after years of practice, the nerves never fully faded. But in 2018, everything changed at an unplanned moment that felt like fate.

I unknowingly headlined a show at McKibbin Loft in Brooklyn, an underground hip-hop landmark. The night before, I’d played a Williamsburg venue, Muchmore’s, and the promoter invited me here. I didn’t realize what it was until I walked in. In my live performances, I used to incorporate beats, giving things a more trip-hop feel. Raised in Chicago and surrounded by hip-hop, I never expected to stand on that stage. New York thrives on the unexpected and the abstract artistically, one of the reasons I love it. The crowd, the weed smoke, and the scent of fried chicken made it an unforgettable experience.

That night, I let go. No overthinking, no holding back. The response was electric. It wasn’t just a performance, it was a homecoming. For years, I’d searched for where my voice belonged. While I started solo in 2012, my journey began much earlier in my first band, Arkade. Those years were messy, full of mistakes and change, but I trusted the pull.

At first, I followed the typical path: labels, PR, and booking agents. Some people were kind; others acted entitled. It wasn’t imposter syndrome, it was loneliness. I felt like a stranger at my own party. Over time, I realized no one would hand me a magic key. Instead, I learned that success and community stem from collaboration, trust, and the presence of like minded individuals.

So I shifted. I wanted to connect deeply, to let the music flow through me and find a home in the world. I visited a seer who told me to take The Triangle Tour: three locations where I’d find my people. I trusted her and went. The second stop was that Brooklyn loft. That night, I stepped into the unfamiliar and terrifying. When I stood on that stage and let go, trusting my artistic voice, as cliché as it sounds, something shifted. My voice found a home not just out there, but inside myself.
